A heat exchanger in the low-pressure side of the A/C system,installed between the expansion valve and the compressor, located in a HVAC (Heat-Ventilation-Air-Conditioning) module behind the vehicle dashboaid.

The evaporator uses the heat from the interior of the car or truck to cause the coolantin the A/C system to evaporate. After all. an aircon system does not create cold air：it in fact absorbs heat. This heat is then taken to the compressor by the evaporated coolant.
